Dr Carmen Lewis

Rev. Lewis heard the call of God on her life at a very early age. At 14 years old she began preaching and in her late teen was appointed as an Evangelist. Rev. Lewis was ordained as a pastor in 1984 and entered full-time ministry in 1995.

Rev. Lewis obtained a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Canada Christian College; a Master of Divinity in counselling from Tyndale University College and seminary, a Supervisory Studies certificate, in Business Management, from Humber College Business & Industry Services, a Doctorate of Divinity degree from Vision International University. Rev. Lewis also attended York University (Atkinson College), and long-distance learning at Liberty University specializing in a Master’s Degree in Professional Counselling.

Some of Rev. Lewis’ accomplishments include the establishment of the Gospel Ship Radio Ministry, the Lighthouse Bible College and Institute, Lighthouse Fellowship Assembly sponsorship and feeding program in Jamaica, mission outreach in the Philippines, and sponsoring of children through Compassion Canada. Rev. Lewis has written two books which are entitled “Mama’s Miracle and Now That You are Born Again”. They are being promoted on Amazon.com. 

Rev. Lewis served as a board member on several community initiatives in the GTA. Presently, she is the Chair of Etobicoke Strategy, a faith-led/Police supported initiative dedicated to reducing the incidence of crime in Etobicoke North; and one of the executive directors for the Canadian Black Clergies and Allies. In addition, she served the community as a board member/project manager with Faith Health Initiative, to educate and bring awareness to the Black community pertaining to Diabetes Prevention and HIV/AIDS; and also, served as a Board member for a number of years with the African Canadian Christian Network.

While she enjoys serving the community, her passion is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to see every believer maximizing their gifts, fulfilling their divine destiny, and living a wholesome life.
